Donated and Painted by: Sean Fulton of Jabberwocky Miniatures
$2 Tickets;
Only 500  will be sold

Truly mad when unleashed upon the battlefield, the berserkers encapsulate the highest ideal of the warrior. Eschewing all thoughts of self-defense, the berserkers desire nothing more than to slay everything they can see. They have even been known to attack other orcs, forgetting that the enmities of the clans have been set aside for now, but every leader sees their value.

This model – from Warlord range by Reaper Miniatures – would look great in anyone’s display cabinet, and could also be used in a variety of roleplaying and other fantasy games.

Our thanks to Sean Fulton, who is returning for his fourth year as part of the NOCF Artists’ Consortium.

ACTUAL MODEL

Once a heroic Jedi Knight, Darth Vader was seduced by the dark side of the Force, became a Sith Lord, and then led the Empire’s eradication of the Jedi Order. He remained in service, for two decades, to the Emperor – the ultimate evil, Darth Sidious. Vader was an enforcer of his Master’s will, with his only purpose the total annihilation of the fledgling Rebel Alliance. But somewhere, buried deep within, there was still good in him . . .

In addition to the model above, you can also see Sorastro’s painting guide for painting Darth Vader models on Sorastro YouTube.

Our welcome to Mark Sorastro, who is making his first appearance as a member of the NOCF Artists’ Consortium this year.

A Bolt Pistol is a smaller version of the Bolter in standard use by the Adeptus Astartes and other Imperial forces such as the Orders Militant of the Adepta Sororitas and certain members of the Astra Militarum and the Imperial Navy. Powerful and utilitarian sidearms, Bolt Pistols have seen service withing many of the Imperium’s military forces since its inception in the 30th Millennium. The current standard pattern in use amongst the Space Marines is the Mark III.

This beautifully painted prop Bolt Pistol would look great in anyone’s display cabinet, and would also be the perfect accompaniment to any Space Marine cosplay.

Our thanks to all involved in the creation and donation of this very cool prop!

Donated and Painted by: Duncan Rhodes

Only 1000 tickets will be sold

For ten thousand years Mortarion, Lord of the Death Guard, has crushed his enemies upon the field of battle. Surrounded by chittering Daemon mites, droning flies and noxious plague vapours, Mortarion swoops into battle on vast, creaking wings. the thudding beat of these foul pinions fills the enemy with crawling dread, even as they waft the reek of death across their lines. To even stand in the presence of the Death Lord is lethal, opponents choking and collapsing as they succumb to the myriad plagues that churn the air around him.

This massive model would look great in anyone’s display cabinet, and can be used to lead your Death Guard army in Warhammer 40,000 (from Games Workshop).

In addition to the photos here, you can also watch Duncan painting this Mortarion model in the Warhammer TV tutorial video.

2018 MODEL: 40K “TAINTED BLOOD,” a Diorama

2018 MODEL: 40K “TAINTED BLOOD,” a Diorama
Blood Angel Primaris Lieutenant vs. Death Guard Lord of Contagion!
Painted by: Drew Palies of Drew Ink & Painting, Dave Taylor of Dave Taylor Miniatures
$2 Tickets;
Only 1000 will be sold
On July 1, 2018: Purchase tickets here
Proceeds will benefit Doctors Without Borders

An ancient Lord of Contagion, a member of the legendary Death Guard Legion, squares off against a relative newcomer, a Primaris Lieutenant of the Blood Angels Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes. Although new technologies have been used to create the Primaris Marine, it remains to be seen if he might carry the taint that flows through the veins of his older battle brothers. In the case of the Death Guard Lord, there can be no doubt of his taint.

These beautifully painted models would look great in anyone’s display cabinet, and can also be used to lead a Bllod Angels and Death Guard army in Warhammer 40,000 (from Games Workshop).

Our thanks to Drew Palies, who is returning for his second year as part of the Artists’ Consortium, and to Dave Taylor, participating in the NOCF Artist’s Consortium for his sixth year.

2018 MODEL: 40K “PRIMARIS CAPTAIN,” Ultramarine

2018 MODEL: 40K “PRIMARIS CAPTAIN,” Ultramarine
Donated and Painted by: Roman Lappat of Massive Voodoo
$2 Tickets;
Only 500  will be sold
On July 1, 2018: Purchase tickets here
Proceeds will benefit Doctors Without Borders

This Ultramarine Primaris Captain is one of a kind. Internationally-renowned artist, Roman Lappat, put a lot of heart into the conversion work – as well as the paint job – to make this Captain stand out beside all others. This work of art is both unique in appearance, and even more beautiful for the painting knowledge that guided the colors. Note the strong zenithal light, OSL, true material damage, and freehand work which created the atmospheric base.

This would be a great piece to study, a gorgeous piece for display, or – with its removable plinth – a model on the gaming table.

Our thanks to Roman Lappat, who is returning for his fourth year as part of the NOCF Artists’ Consortium.

2018 MODEL: 30K “NATHANIEL GARRO,” Hand of the Sigillite

2018 MODEL: 30K “NATHANIEL GARRO,” Hand of the Sigillite
Donated and Painted by: Sean McAfee of Brush4Hire
$2 Tickets;
Only 500  will be sold
On July 1, 2018: Purchase tickets here
Proceeds will benefit Doctors Without Borders

The foremost of the Knights-Errant, Nathaniel Garro was once a Battle-Captain of the Legiones Astartes Death Guard. Though he served his Primarch with honour and dedication, he was condemned as unworthy and, along with countless thousands of Legionaries who could not be counted on to tread the path of the Traitor, was betrayed at Isstvan III.

Surviving to bring word of the treachery to Terra, Garro renounced his oaths to the Death Guard and pledged his life and loyalty to Malcador the Sigillite, swearing to undertake any mission, no matter how perilous, in the ultimate defense of humanity.

This elite miniature would look great on display, and can also be used in The Horus Heresy (from Forgeworld/Games Workshop). Rules can be found in Book 6 – Retribution – and on his page on the Forgeworld website.

We extend our appreciation to Sean McAfee, who is returning for his second year as part of the NOCF Artists’ Consortium.

Donated and Painted by: Mary Profitt of Hamster Cage Studio
$2 Tickets;
Only 500  will be sold

Commanders of the Tyranid swarm, Hive Tyrants are the enactors of the Hive Mind’s will. Massively powerful creatures, every part of their body is perfectly created to maim and kill. Like other Tyranids, it has a distinctive chitinous shell with chimneys on its back, and a hideous skeletal underbody. This Hive Tyrant has managed to snare a Space Marine in its living lash whip.

This wonderfully converted and painted model would look great on display, and on the board leading a Tyranid army in Warhammer 40,000 (from Games Workshop).

Join us in welcoming Mary Profitt – this is her first year as part of the NOCF Artists’ Consortium.

2018 MODEL: 40K “TRAJANN VALORIS,” Captain-General

2018 MODEL: 40K “TRAJANN VALORIS,” Captain-General
Donated and Painted by: Keith Rudis
$2 Tickets;
Only 500 will be sold
On July 1, 2018: Purchase tickets here
Proceeds will benefit Breast Cancer Research Foundation

The office of Captain-General is one of the most powerful military appointments in the Imperium. It confers full responsibility for the overall defense of the Sol System, Terra, the Imperial Palace and, ultimately, the Golden Throne and the Emperor himself. Many claim that Trajann Valoris is the greatest warrior to hold the title of Captain-General since the Emperor strode the stars, having proven himself to be dynamic and effective; qualities that make him ideally suited to lead in this age of unprecedented aggression.

This excellent model would look great in anyone’s display cabinet, and can also be used to lead an Adeptus Custodes army in Warhammer 40,000 (from Games Workshop).

Our thanks to Keith Rudis, who is joining us for his first year as part of the NOCF Artists’ Consortium.

Only 500  will be sold

A truly epic sculpt from CMON’s board game Massive Darkness, in Roman’s typically unique and soulful style. A green mosh base supports the red powerful colors used on the figure. Note the cool texture work all over the model, precise use of light and shadow on all different shapes, and study Roman’s personal brushstroke on this classic-feeling miniature sculpt.

Roman’s basework aimed for a cool looking gaming base that was put on top of a black wooden plinth to make it stand out. The figure (including base) can be removed for gaming purposes.

One of two donations in 2018 (see Primaris Captain), Roman Lappat is a great supporter, who is returning for his fourth year as part of the NOCF Artists’ Consortium.

2017 ARMY: WH 30K Army: Mechanicum

To purchase raffle tickets for this army click here.

The Horus Heresy (AKA Warhammer 30K) has really been gaining a lot of momentum over the last few years, so we decided it was high time we put some of the Artist Consortium on painting up some beautiful (and impactful) Horus Heresy-era armies.

This Mechanicum army is made entirely from Forgeworld models and runs 2,000 points once tricked out with the various upgrades and wargear items.

The army contains the following (and the artists are listed in parentheses):

HQ
• Magos Prime on Abeyant (Jake Landis)

Troops
• Thallax Cohort with Phase Plasma Fusil (Joel Moon)
• Thallax Cohort with Photon Thruster (Joel Moon)

Fast Attack
• Vultarax Stratos-Automata (Marc Raley)

Heavy Support
• Thanatar Class Siege Automata (David Sampson)
• Krios Battle Tank (Max Dubois)
• Myrmidon Destructors (Andrew Gray)

Lord of War
• Cerastus Knight Atrapos (John Stiening)

It is a very compact force (just 14 models) but packs a LOT of punch, with a great deal of heavy hitters. It would also be easy to take it up to 2,500 points by simply adding a couple of Thallax Cohorts to the list.

This army really is great for both veteran Horus Heresy players and those completely new to games in the Age of Darkness.

As with the other raffles, winnings will be shipped worldwide (though you can take them with you from the NOVA if you attend). Drawings will be performed during the NOVA final award ceremony ON September 6. . Also as with the other raffles, KR MultiCase has generously donated a foam-included carrying case for each crew!

Batalion Piechoty Tickets Available!

Tickets are now on sale for the Batalion Piechoty Polish Army.

Alongside the Blitzkrieg Supplement, the Polish Batalion Piechoty stands as a remarkably adaptable army, worthy of attention. First of note is the core; each company can comprise up to four platoons, meaning that there could be as many as 49 infantry teams in one element. At the same time, while all units are deployed, the platoons can act independently of each another.

Battle for Craftworld – Sons of Orar Tickets Available!

Tickets are now on sale for the Sons of Orar Army.

And now, on to just one of the Tactical squads from the Sons Of Orar army, painted by Neil Szabo. We usually give our artists a bit of freedom to approach their tasks the way they see fit. This year, Neil took his task to the next level by magnetizing the gap out of this squad. Loads of options for both the sergeant and the special weapons trooper mean that the winner (could it be you?) will be able to switch up their lists depending on opponent without much effort at all.
